low angle spokeshave

This wood bodied spokeshave is perfect for chairmaking or other green woodworking tasks.  The A2 tool steel blade is ground at 20 degrees with a 5 degree microbevel for durability.  The body is Jatoba (brazillian cherry) which is hard, heavy and beautiful.  The blade is micro adjustable in depth via the brass knobs and features a brass wear plate in front of the mouth.  The handles are a little different from common spokeshaves as they are set forward and angled back.  This puts your hands in a comfortable position for long shaving sessions.  This tool is a pleasure to use and looks great in your toolbox.
