I craft contemporary Windsor style chairs using a combination of green and dry woodworking techniques.  Starting with a fresh log, parts are carefully split out, shaved to shape and bent with steam.  A thick plank is carved into a seat that fits the human form.  Then legs and spindles are securely joined to the seat to create a compelling form that is intimately comfortable.  These chairs truly are sculptures that you sit in.
